Cultural Differences in Business

My opinions on how cultural differences can affect business.
Cultural differences.
Culture consists of the ideas, customs, and art produced by a particular society. It is also a particular society or civilization. In science a culture is a group of bacteria or cells grown in a laboratory as part of an experiment. (bbc English dictionary first publication 1992). It is important to recognize that people from different cultures have are different in a variety of ways, including different ways of looking at things, dressing, expressing personality/goodness. (
A business, also known as an enterprise or a firm, is an organization involved in the trade of goods, services, or both to customers. Business are prevalent in capitalist economics, where most of them are privately owned and provide goods and services to customers in exchange for other goods, services, or money. Business may also be not-for-profit or state-owned. A business owned by multiple individuals may be referred to as a company. (Wikipedia)
Cultural Differences and Business.
Everyone would agree that Germans are well known for their punctuality. In many African and South American countries, however, scheduled appointments are often treated like a general guideline rather than something one has to strictly abide by. Seeing how some cultures are more time-conscious than others, it is always best to be punctual at first and simultaneously adopt a relaxed attitude towards time management. Even if you are always on time, your business partners may not take the appointed time for a business meeting as seriously as you do. (2014 internations Gmgh)

Cultural differences affect business practices I numerous ways which result to low outcomes. Due to different exposures and beliefs it will be difficult for two different persons that met themselves in the same office to quickly decide on a concrete decision. This is a reflection on the practical business practices of each person’s region. At some regions, a business will strive as long as it does not go against some religious doctrines. While the same business will do well in many European states either it obeys any religion doctrine on not. The two managers heading this two illustrated companies can’t have the same believe on many business practices as what works for both party are different.
I stand at the middle of the road on this. Do read over and maybe join me at the middle.
